The show featured tributes, major collaborations and elaborate performances throughout the night, including Madonna’s opening performance with Sabrina Carpenter and Charli xcx.

Other highlights included LISA’s “SaWaDiKa,” RAYE’s “I Will Overcome” and “Where Is My Husband!,” plus an all-star tribute to George Michael featuring Sombr, RAYE, Teddy Swims, Adam Lambert, MNEK, Saint Harison and MEEK.

The 2026 VMAs also saw Madonna take home seven Moon Person trophies, while Taylor Swift received the inaugural Artist Director Honors.
