CAFE CITY FEST, is an official pre-event for JUNETEENTH ATLANTA to help the homeless. CAFE stands for Community Alliance for Empowerment, thus with your help we can bring national attention to the homeless epidemic in the Black Community. Black men have the highest rates of homelessness and unemployment, while Black women suffer the highest rate of evictions. Yet, the Black Community hasn’t addressed homelessness on the same scale as voting rights and police brutality. We are expecting 5000 people to attend Piedmont Park to celebrate our 10th Anniversary serving the community.
The camouflage party on DAY 1 is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the homeless. Our goal is to reach 150,000 donors to acquire a Hotel Resort to create jobs for the homeless and low-income people. It’s our first step to help them transition into a better life. DAY 2 we return to the park to clean-up during our beautification brunch.
