STEP 2: Scroll down for additional instructions for Producers, Writers, or Talent. You will be given 1 task for each department: Radio, Music, and Film to present in 60 seconds each. The first 3 minutes demonstrate your ability to fit our projects. Your last 2 minutes are reserved for pitching your ideas or another category.

Producer Casting:

A film producer is a key individual who oversees and manages the entire process of making a film, from development to distribution, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and aligned with its creative vision.

Role and Responsibilities

A film producer is responsible for guiding a film from concept to completion, coordinating all aspects of production. This includes:

Development: Selecting scripts or source material, securing rights, and collaborating with writers and directors to shape the project’s vision.
Financing: Arranging funding through studios, investors, or personal resources, and managing the production budget.
Pre-production: Hiring key personnel such as directors, actors, and department heads, and planning schedules and logistics.
Production: Overseeing the filming process, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget, and addressing any logistical or creative challenges.
Post-production: Supervising editing, sound design, visual effects, and music composition to finalize the film.

Radio Cafe Live: A four- hour block of 60m TIKTOK livestreams between Queen in-studio and 1 co-host on-site. Casting: 5 Film Producers, 20 Radio Co-Hosts (producer or writer), 5 Radio Correspondents (writer).

This is QEB: A two-hour news magazine on-air & INSTAGRAM livestream featuring top stories, DJ mix, 4-6 interviews , and 60m podcast anchored by Queen and 3 co-hosts. Casting: 5 Film Producers, 15 Radio Co-Hosts (producer or writer), 5 Correspondents (writer).

MUSIC: Find a courtroom and 2 other locations that could be used for the “Working Girl” music video.

WORKING GIRL Single: A female anthem accompanied by a music video, social media challenge, and a crew of “working girls”. Casting: 7 Film Producers, 10 Working Girls (talent), 100 Extras.

FILM: Organize 3 people ages 18-25 to participate in a socio-political roundtable.

Soulaan Rising: A documentary reflecting on the foundational Black American journey from desegregation to delineation. Casting: 6 Film Producers, 6 Writers, 100 Extras.

Happily Everlena: A vertical musical dramedy based on the true story of Queen Brown de Thiam. It follows 2 bestfriends, one chronicles her life from college in 1997 until moving to Atlanta in 2008 and other from Atlanta in 2008 until 2022. Casting: 4 Film Producers, 1 Identical Female Twins (talent), 1 Identical Male Twins (talent), Orishas (talent), 100 Extras.

FILM: Organize a summary of 10 episodes for the character Rocky, who is conflicted about his hidden intelligence. He trying to decide if he will become an accountant for his hustling childhood friend or teaching the local youth financial literacy. The first episode ends with an offer from the drug dealer at barbershop. Last episode he discovers Shaniqua’s boyfriend is his friend’s supplier, not just a legit businessman. He decides teaching the youth is a much safer route. ACT 1 is 3 eps, ACT 2 is 4 eps, and ACT 3 is 1 eps.

Hello Westend: A vertical series featuring an assemble cast set in a barbershop.A new generation of beauty architects navigate their complex lives with simple wisdom. Based in a historic Atlanta neighborhood, they learn how self-awareness can overcome any shenanigans. Casting: 3 Film Producers, 10 Writers (talent), 10 Actors, 100 Extras.
