Metro Atlanta Realtors Warn Of Fake Social Media Profiles Scamming Home Seekers

#wqeb973newz |Atlanta,GA-🚨 ATLANTA REAL ESTATE SCAM WARNING!

Metro Atlanta real estate agents are warning renters and homebuyers about scammers creating fake social media profiles using legitimate agents’ names, photos and videos to target people searching for homes.

One Atlanta woman says she lost $300 after responding to a fake condo rental advertisement on social media. She arrived at the property expecting to receive the keys, but the person she had been communicating with never showed up.

Real estate professionals are urging consumers to verify an agent’s license through the Georgia Real Estate Commission and confirm their identity through their brokerage before sending any money.

Authorities say the alleged impersonation schemes have affected multiple agents, with one suspect facing identity fraud cases in Georgia and other states.

⚠️ Remember: Never send deposits or payments to someone without verifying the property and the person you’re dealing with!
