Simple Plan is proving that pop-punk never goes out of style! More than 25 years into their career, the band is attracting younger fans while longtime listeners continue to support their music.

According to drummer Chuck Comeau, some shows are seeing as many as 85% of attendees experiencing the band live for the first time. The renewed attention comes in part from TikTok, where their hit “I’m Just a Kid” went viral through a childhood photo challenge.

The band is also working on its seventh studio album, with plans to continue writing into 2027. Simple Plan is also preparing to release its first children’s picture book, I’m Just a Kid: The Story of Simple Plan, on March 9, 2027.

And for fans wondering about the band’s future, Comeau says a farewell tour is not in the cards anytime soon!
