#wqeb973newz |Atlanta,GA-🚨 KEISHA LANCE BOTTOMS MAKES HISTORY AS GEORGIA’S FIRST FEMALE GOVERNOR AND THE NATION’S FIRST BLACK FEMALE GOVERNOR! 🗳️

History has been made in Georgia! Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has been elected Georgia’s next governor after defeating Republican candidate Rick Jackson in a closely contested race.

When she takes office in January 2027, Bottoms will become the first woman to serve as Georgia’s governor and the first Black woman elected governor of any U.S. state.

Bottoms will also become Georgia’s first Democratic governor in 24 years, since Roy Barnes left office in 2003.

During her victory speech, Bottoms promised to represent all Georgians, regardless of who they voted for.

Her campaign focused on affordability, healthcare, housing and education.

Congratulations on making history! 👏🏾
