A Weather Impact Alert is in effect as heat index values climb as high as 109° in parts of northwest Georgia, while much of the state remains under a Heat Advisory. Isolated to scattered afternoon thunderstorms could bring damaging wind gusts, hail, and heavy rainfall, and a Code Orange Air Quality Alert is also in place for sensitive groups.

🌦️ Looking ahead to the Fourth of July weekend, expect hot and humid conditions to continue with highs in the upper 90s and only limited relief from afternoon storms.
