American Idol’ Moving Production From California to Georgia

One of America’s biggest reality singing competitions is headed to Georgia!

Sources told Channel 2 Action News that “American Idol” is moving its production from California to Georgia. The state’s film office currently lists the show on its “Now Filming in Georgia” website.

Officials have not yet revealed which parts of production will take place in Georgia or where the show will be based.

Season 25 is expected to air LIVE Mondays on WSB-TV. Judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood are all expected to return, along with Dunwoody native and host Ryan Seacrest.
