West Coast rapper Jay Worthy is teaming up with funk legend George Clinton for their collaborative album Generation P! 🎶💿
The 12-track project brings together hip-hop and classic funk, with Jay Worthy rapping over iconic Parliament-Funkadelic sounds, including “(Not Just) Knee Deep” and “Atomic Dog.” Producer Sean House also contributes to the project, while Clinton adds narration throughout the album. 🕺🏾🎸
The collaboration came together after George Clinton’s grandson, Zavier Croft, introduced Clinton to Jay Worthy’s music while they were on tour. A simple DM turned into a full-fledged musical partnership aimed at bringing the G-Funk sound back into the spotlight! 🔥
Could Generation P help bring funk back to a new generation of hip-hop fans? 👀👇
