SCAD Students Transform Downtown Atlanta With World Cup Murals and Wayfinding Signs
#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-Atlanta is putting its creativity on full display for the world. 🎨⚽ Students from Savannah College of Art and Design have partnered with the Atlanta World Cup Host Committee and the Metro Atlanta Chamber to create murals, signage and interactive experiences throughout downtown ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The project, known as the “Last Mile Plan,” is designed to help fans easily navigate the city with directional signs, flags, ground graphics and augmented reality features that showcase Atlanta’s culture and community. 🌆✨
For senior SCAD student Kavya Ray, the project was more than an assignment—it was a chance to help welcome millions of visitors to Atlanta. And yes, she earned an A for her work. 🎓👏
