Taylor Swift To Receive First-Ever Artist Director Honor At 2026 MTV VMAs

#WQEB973NEWZ | Los Angeles,CA-Taylor Swift is set to make history at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, becoming the first recipient of the new Artist Director Honors.

The award recognizes music artists whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music videos and visual storytelling.

Swift made her solo directorial debut with “The Man” in 2020 and later directed All Too Well: The Short Film, which earned multiple honors at the 2022 VMAs.

She enters this year’s ceremony with 11 nominations, including Video of the Year, Artist of the Year and Best Direction.

The 2026 MTV VMAs will air live from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater on Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS, with a simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+.
