Mableton Unveils 200+ Workforce Homes Aimed at Teachers, Firefighters and Working Families

The City of Mableton is moving forward with plans to build more than 200 mixed-income homes designed for teachers, firefighters and other workforce professionals who often earn too much for traditional affordable housing but struggle to afford market-rate homes.

The new Creekside Village at Factory Shoals development will feature a mix of townhomes and single-family homes, with some smaller homes expected to start around $250,000. 🏠

City leaders say the project will also connect buyers with down payment assistance and credit repair resources, helping more families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Construction is expected to be phased in, with residents potentially moving into the community as early as 2027. The development will also include amenities, trails, future retail space and a healthcare center.
