BREAKING NEWZ

Arthur Weakens, But Heavy Rain and Flooding Threat Continue Across North Georgia

#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-🌧️ Tropical Storm Arthur may have weakened, but its impacts are far from over for north Georgia.

The first named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season is now a remnant low-pressure system, but it’s still bringing widespread rain, gusty winds, and the threat of flooding across the Southeast.

⚠️ Flood Watches remain in effect for parts of metro Atlanta and north Georgia as several inches of rain are expected. Areas with poor drainage, streams, and creeks could see flooding concerns.

💨 Wind gusts over 35 mph are also possible as the system moves through the region.

Forecasters say rain could linger into Friday, with scattered showers and storms remaining possible throughout the day.

Stay weather-aware and never drive through flooded roadways.
