Georgia Tech Revives Olympic Village Legacy With World Cup Housing Program
#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-⚽🏆 As Atlanta prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Georgia Tech is opening the doors to a piece of Olympic history.
The university has launched “Soccer Stays,” offering 1,200 rooms in its North Avenue Apartments—the same buildings that served as the Olympic Village during the 1996 Summer Olympics.
Starting at $178 per night, guests will receive breakfast, covered parking, fitness center access, 24/7 campus security, and a short walk to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which will host eight World Cup matches this summer.
Georgia Tech officials say the initiative is designed to provide an affordable lodging option for fans, volunteers, and workers while generating revenue that will be reinvested into student programs and facilities.
