Atlanta Opera Announces Historic 2029 Ring Festival Featuring Wagner’s Epic Four-Part Cycle

Atlanta Opera will present two complete performances of Richard Wagner’s legendary four-opera masterpiece, Der Ring des Nibelungen, during the Atlanta Opera Ring Festival 2029 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Directed by Tomer Zvulun and conducted by Iván López Reynoso, the festival will give audiences the rare opportunity to experience Wagner’s full mythological saga—from Das Rheingold to Götterdämmerung (Twilight of the Gods)—across two week-long cycles in June 2029.

Opera enthusiasts from around the world are expected to travel to Atlanta for what promises to be one of the city’s most ambitious performing arts events ever.
