Elton John Bids Farewell To The Stage With Final Mexico City Shows

#WQEB973Newz | MEXICO CITY, MEXICO-Elton John is saying goodbye to the stage in Mexico as the legendary singer performed the first of his final two shows at Estadio Banorte. 🎹🇲🇽

The 79-year-old music icon returned to Mexico City on Oct. 2, marking his first performance there in 14 years. More than 60,000 fans gathered to celebrate his career and thank him for decades of music.

The two-hour concert featured 24 songs, including “Bennie and the Jets,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Rocket Man,” “Candle in the Wind,” “Crocodile Rock” and “Cold Heart,” with Dua Lipa appearing on screen during the performance.

Elton told fans that the final Mexico shows were his way of saying thank you for their longtime love and support as he closes out his Farewell Yellow Brick Road era. 🎶
