New President Aims to Strengthen Safety and Growth at Six Flags Over Georgia

Richard Pretlow II, who became president of the Mableton theme park earlier this year, says his focus is on delivering world-class entertainment while addressing safety concerns that have drawn attention in recent years.

The park, which welcomes roughly 3 million visitors annually, is rolling out new attractions and seasonal events this summer, including the Splash Water Parade, Heroes and Villains celebration, and the return of Holiday in the Park later this year.

Pretlow acknowledged past security challenges, including incidents that sparked public concern, but says the park is working closely with local law enforcement and strengthening on-site security measures to create a safer experience for guests.

Beyond the rides, Six Flags continues to provide jobs in hospitality, maintenance, and engineering while offering STEM-focused educational opportunities for students.
