Georgia Voter Registration Deadline Hits Today Ahead of May Primary

If you live in Georgia, today (April 20) is your LAST chance to register to vote in next month’s primary election.

Voters across the state — including in Atlanta — will head to the polls on May 19 to decide key races for governor, U.S. Senate, and other statewide and local positions.

If you’re not registered yet, you can still apply online or at your local election office before the deadline. To complete your registration, you’ll need a valid Georgia driver’s license or state-issued ID.

Already registered? Officials urge voters to double-check their status through the state’s My Voter Page to confirm:
✔️ Your registration is active
✔️ Your address is up to date
✔️ Your assigned polling location

If your registration has expired or your address has changed, you’ll need to submit a new application — but as long as it’s done by today, you’ll still be eligible to vote in the primary.

Election officials also remind voters that polling locations can change, so it’s important to verify where you’ll be voting before Election Day.
