Atlanta Firefighters’ Union Sues City Over Contract Dispute

#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-🚨 The union representing Atlanta firefighters has filed a lawsuit against the city, claiming leaders failed to honor a collective bargaining agreement that changed firefighters’ pay cycle from 28 days to 14. 

Union leaders say the agreement was ratified last year and followed for months, but the city later argued the contract was invalid because it was never formally signed. Mayor Andre Dickens’ office says concerns over the legitimacy of Local 134’s recent union election must be addressed first. 

The dispute could impact paychecks for firefighters across Atlanta and may now move deeper into litigation.
