Authorities say 40-year-old Jason Hughes, a math teacher and coach at North Hall High School, died after being struck by a vehicle outside his Hall County home during what investigators say was a senior prank gone wrong. 🚔
Deputies say several teens had gone to Hughes’ home to toilet paper his yard as part of a prank. When he came outside, the group attempted to leave, and Hughes was hit by a pickup truck after reportedly tripping in the road.
Students, colleagues and community members remember Hughes as a mentor who deeply cared about others and often asked, “How can I serve you better?” 🙏📚
He leaves behind his wife, Laura, and their two sons. The community has rallied around the family, raising more than $181,000 in support and honoring him with memorials outside the school. 🌹
