Ruwa Romman Ends Georgia Governor Campaign, Launches Bid for State Senate

#wqeb973newz |Suwanee,GA-Ruwa Romman has ended her campaign for Georgia governor and announced plans to run for State Senate District 7.

Romman, a Democratic state representative from Gwinnett County, said she will qualify for the Senate race and launch a new political effort called Georgia We Deserve in March. She was first elected to the Georgia House in 2022 and has focused her platform on issues including raising the minimum wage, reopening rural hospitals, and housing affordability.

Romman said her campaign has always been about building a broader movement and plans to continue organizing across the state.
