It seems that the Tulsa King spinoff by Taylor Sheridan, featuring Samuel L. Jackson, will no longer be set in New Orleans.

Paramount+ revealed on Tuesday that the spinoff, initially named NOLA King and based in New Orleans, will now take place in Texas and be renamed Frisco King. Sheridan has been chosen to pen all eight episodes of the inaugural season.

The spinoff will focus on Jackson’s character, Russell Lee Washington Jr., initially introduced in the third season of Tulsa King, featuring Sylvester Stallone
