Duro Olowu Fall 2026: A Family Affair
#wqeb973newz | London, UK – Duro Olowu drew inspiration from the vibrant wardrobes of his family in London, Nigeria, and Jamaica for this dynamic collection that emphasized tailored designs.
Duro Olowu consistently seeks to create stylish garments infused with a touch of playfulness, and this season upheld that tradition.
For autumn, the designer relied on nostalgic memories of his Jamaican and Nigerian relatives who lived or temporarily stayed in London — explaining the collection’s vintage vibe. Collars on printed shirts were large and pointed, 1940s skirts featured small pleats at the back, and there was plenty of stylish tailoring taken from menswear.
He matched many of those outfits with his trademark “uncle shoes”: slim slip-on designs adorned with gold detailing that he recalls his stylish uncles wearing during his childhood.

Olowu refreshed those retro shapes with bright colors and a vine pattern which he magnified, and shrank for breezy shirtwaist dresses with little pouf shoulders and pleats; tops with dandy-ish bows at the neck; belted coats and culottes. Those prints could be dizzying at times, but they certainly made an entrance. #duroolowu #fashion #fall2026 #familyaffair #designs #wqeb973newz
