BAFTA Film Awards: ‘One Battle After Another’ Wins 6, ‘Sinners’ Makes History With 3, ‘I Swear’ Stuns

#wqeb973newz | London, UK- The ceremony of the British Academy in London, presented by Alan Cumming

Paul Thomas Anderson’s political thriller One Battle After Another secured six awards at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, while Ryan Coogler’s vampire horror drama Sinners received three, establishing a record for the highest number of accolades for a film directed by a Black filmmaker. Kirk Jones’ dramedy I Swear, which advocates for Tourette Syndrome, amazed the audience at the ceremony hosted by Alan Cumming, who presents and produces The Traitors U.S., at London’s Royal Festival Hall, securing two awards chosen by industry professionals and a third decided by public vote

The film’s lead, Robert Aramayo, notably departed the event with two awards, one for Rising Star and another for best actor, a highly competitive category, where his victory elicited audible gasps from the crowd. The additional award for I Swear was in the best casting category. #bafta #filmawards #onebatterafteranother #wqeb973newz
