Ransomware Attack Disrupts Online Business License Payments in Marietta
#wqeb973newz | Marietta,GA-A🚨 A ransomware attack is disrupting some online payments in Marietta. City officials say online business license payments are currently unavailable after a payment gateway vendor, BridgePay Network Solutions, was targeted in a nationwide ransomware attack 💻⚠️
The attack, which occurred Feb. 6, is impacting hundreds of local governments across the country. City leaders say Marietta’s own systems were not compromised, and there is no indication that payment card data was exposed 🔒✅
For now, businesses can still make payments in person at City Hall, including business licenses, excise taxes, liquor, hotel and motel, and auto rental payments 🏢💳 Officials say they are actively working to roll out a secure alternative so online payments can resume as soon as possible ⏳🔧
