Four Family Members Killed in DeKalb County House Fire Identified

The fire broke out just before midnight at a home on Winthrop Drive, where heavy smoke was seen coming from the residence as firefighters rushed to the scene. Authorities say three of the victims were trapped inside the home and died at the scene, while a fourth family member was transported to the hospital and later died from their injuries.

DeKalb County investigators have since identified all four victims as members of the same family. Fire crews remained on scene for several hours overnight as they worked to extinguish the fire and begin the investigation into what caused it. Officials say support teams were also made available to firefighters following the deadly incident.
