Atlanta Apartment Tenants Say Management Ignoring Rats and Heat Issues
#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-🚨🏠 Tenants at an Atlanta apartment complex say they are living in unsafe conditions due to an ongoing rat infestation and a lack of basic utilities. Residents report hearing rats scratching and moving through walls and air vents, raising serious health concerns — especially for children and elderly family members living in the units.
Several tenants say their apartments have also been without heat for weeks, forcing families to rely on portable space heaters during cold weather. Others report extended water outages, adding to growing frustration and fear. Despite repeated complaints and lease agreements that include pest control and maintenance, residents claim property management has failed to take action.
During a visit by 11Alive, city code enforcement arrived at the complex to document the reported issues and inspect multiple units. Tenants say they have spent hundreds of dollars out of pocket on pest control and supplies just to make their homes livable. Property management declined to comment as the investigation continues.
