Cold Weather Advisory Issued as Temperatures Plunge Across Georgia
#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA-❄️🥶 Bundle up, Georgia.
Below-freezing temperatures are expected Thursday as a cold front moves through the state, bringing a chance of flurries to the higher elevations of north Georgia. Meteorologists say light snow accumulation — less than half an inch — is possible on the highest peaks, while metro Atlanta could see a few cold rain showers.
Overnight lows will drop into the 20s, with wind chills making it feel even colder. A cold weather advisory is in effect for parts of north Georgia, including Fannin, Union and Towns counties, where wind chills could dip below zero.
Forecasters urge residents to take precautions and protect people, pets, pipes and plants as the cold settles in. 🌡️
