Delta Air Lines says it has added staff at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to help reunite travelers with their luggage after a dense fog ground stop Sunday led to widespread travel disruptions.

More than 1,000 flight delays and nearly 200 cancellations sparked long waits at baggage claim, with hundreds of passengers impacted. Delta says it’s made “significant progress” and apologized for the inconvenience.

Airline officials are encouraging customers to use the Delta app to track luggage and visit the Baggage Service Office to file delayed baggage reports.
