New South Canton Park Breaks Ground, Featuring Amphitheater, Sky Walk and Dog Park

Canton leaders broke ground Dec. 4 on a new five-acre park in South Canton, bringing a major boost to recreation and green space. The park will feature a multi-level playground, skywalk, amphitheater, pavilion, walking trails, green space, and a dog park with separate areas for small and large dogs.

City officials say the project is funded through SPLOST, recreational impact fees, and a $2.2 million ARPA grant to support accessible playground equipment and the dog park.

📅 The park is expected to open in Spring 2027.
