New Trail Connector Brings Silver Comet Pathway Closer to Downtown Atlanta

#wqeb973newz | Atlanta,GA -A new stretch of trail is officially open in northwest Atlanta — bringing the Silver Comet Trail one step closer to reaching downtown Atlanta. 🚶‍♀️🚴‍♂️🌳

City leaders cut the ribbon on the newest Silver Comet Connector along MacArthur Boulevard, linking the Chattahoochee to the Whetstone Trail as part of the ATL Trails Master Plan. The long-term goal: connect the Silver Comet Trail, the BeltLine, and a full network of bike and walking paths across the city by 2030.

Community groups, city departments, and the PATH Foundation are teaming up to make it happen — and cyclists say they’re ready for smoother, safer ways to get around.
