Hundreds of Volunteers Assemble Gifts for Metro Atlanta Veterans and Military Families on Veterans Day

This Veterans Day, more than 500 volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation, Toys for Tots, and HouseProud Atlanta came together in Cobb County to assemble hundreds of gifts for local veterans and their families.

From bikes and wagons to playhouses and chairs, the gifts will be delivered across metro Atlanta — just in time for Christmas. 🎄

“I think for me, it’s just the giving back,” said Ann Caren, a veteran and Home Depot employee who helped build the gifts.

Home Depot Foundation Executive Director Erin Izen added, “We’ve been working on veterans’ causes since we were founded here in Atlanta 40 years ago.”

For families like the Becketts — whose father served 23 years in the Army — the gesture means the world. 💕

“This shows people still care,” said Stephanie Beckett. “It’s such a wonderful thing they’re doing for the kids and for the veterans.”
