9 people injured in ‘stampede’ after Beyoncé concert at MARTA station, officials say

 #wqeb973newz | Atlanta, GA- Nine people were injured in a ‘stampede’ at the Vine City MARTA station Monday night, according to the transit agency.

The incident happened after the Beyoncé concert at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Eight people were taken to the hospital; seven had cuts and scrapes and one had a broken ankle. According to MARTA, a person began screaming and running, which triggered a stampede on a escalator. The escalator then sped up before suddenly stopping.
